Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:
2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) whole milk
For the Vanilla Buttercream:
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
4 cups (500g) powdered sugar
2-3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
For Decoration:
White fondant flowers
Edible pearls or sugar pearls
Silver edible glitter
Piping bags with star and round tips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cupcakes:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Fill cupcake liners ⅔ full and bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool completely before decorating.
2. Make the Buttercream:
Beat butter until smooth and fluffy.
Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well.
Add vanilla extract and heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until smooth.
3. Assemble the Wedding Dress Shape:
Arrange the cupcakes in a wedding dress shape on a large cake board.
Pipe buttercream onto each cupcake using a star tip, creating soft swirls for a fluffy dress effect.
4. Decorate:
Add fondant flowers and edible pearls to enhance the elegant look.
Sprinkle edible glitter for a delicate shimmer.
Pipe extra details like lace designs using a fine round tip.
5. Final Touches:
Chill for 15-20 minutes to set.
